Her Stories – Season 2 Finale (November 26, 2023)

The body of the young woman, 18-year-old Jeannah Danys Dinabongho Ibouanga, was found in March of this year (2023) in a river near a railway line, not far from the University of Karabük where she was studying mechanical engineering, the Turkish media reported. Her story is one of ambition, opportunity and her demise in a place far from home where #racism is rampant. every aspect of their lives.

Her Stories – Season 2 Episode 10 (November 11, 2023)

This week, our attention is on ending relationships with one’s life. Earlier this week, on another programme of the Daughters of Sheba Foundation, we featured a live recording by a Jamaican-American male vlogger, #JamaicanCarlos, who spoke eloquently on the issue of violence leading to death in relationships.

Since the start of 2023, not only in Jamaica but in the USA and Canada as well, many women lost their lives due to intimate partner violence. #Femicide.

Hello and welcome to another episode of #HerStories. This week, we focus on #relationships. Women, searching for a companion, often go to great lengths only to find themselves trapped.

In this episode, we share one woman’s story and warn everyone of the danger signs of #onlinedating.

Hey there! Get ready for an exciting episode of #HerStories! As we wrap up #WomensHistoryMonth in Canada, we’re bringing you a gripping tale about a woman who has been unjustly forgotten by history.

Her name was Sarah Baartman, a courageous black #SouthAfrican woman who was taken to #Europe and thrust into a #freakshow. Don’t miss out on this captivating story!

#HerStories – stories of and about women in #Jamaica, #Canada and around our world.
Do a Google search for girls molested by their fathers and you will find a surprising amount of cases that were actually reported. Why surprising? Well, incest and rape, especially by a family member is not something that is openly dealt with. In this episode of Her Stories, we share an open report of such a case.
It would seem that since reggae artist #QueenIfrica came forward and told the public that she was molested by her father, the floodgate has remained open.

This week, Her Stories highlight mental health challenges and how they are or are not being addressed. The stories this week are:

  2. Mental health in the UK is about to get worse – and inequality will have a lot to do with it
  3. Domestic abuse and mental health remain taboo subjects for many Sikhs – with deadly consequences
